BINH PHUOC, Vietnam – Upholstered furniture giant Homepage completed the construction of a new 775,000 square foot production facility in Vietnam, bringing its total space in the country to 4.1 million square feet.
The facility, which began construction in March 2021, will only manufacture dining and accent furniture. The new location is adjacent to its existing upholstery factory, which Kuka opened in 2019 to help mitigate tariffs on Chinese-made furniture.
The company will begin shipments from the new facility this month.
“This new facility allows us to expand the product line made in Vietnam and grow the dining and side chair category that has been an integral part of our business for years,” said Matt Harrison, president of Kuka Home. “We will continue to pursue adding more categories in the region.”
Harrison added that the new plant, which will eventually have about 3,000 employees, will significantly increase the company’s manufacturing capacity in Vietnam.
“Our expansions have been completely customer-driven,” he said. “We are delighted with the completion of this final phase of our Binh Phuoc campus, providing our customers with duty-free products.”
Kuka’s dining and accent assortment includes accent chairs, home office furniture, dining chairs, bar stools, ottomans and storage benches.
